alan, do you reccomend visiting now (or in December maybe) the Wexford Wildfowl reserve???

does it make sense go there with only a 200mm lens? or should I buy a Bigma?:D

    cheers!

Around the viewpoints you’ll see timid geese and quite a few of them. From the tower you’ll see fields with many of the migratory birds at a distance. The 200mm should do but sometimes a Bigma isn’t enough. Take a trip down and have a look. There’s a couple of telescopes to use in the tower so you should have fun.

I was out at the Wildlife reserve last Saturday. There was very little happening I have to say. A good few ducks around but even with a 300mm I was stretched to get anything decent (but that could be down to my crap photography skills). That being said it was a horrible day. Not sure if this time of year a lot of birds have migrated?
