Black and white portrait shots

    Hi guys,

Just developed my first b&w film for my portrait work, let me know what you think of these two please?
They’ve been scanned in so aren’t top quality…

That’s a bit of guinness on his lips by the way :)

I prefer the first of the two, very natural. Looks good.

Second one might have been better without the guinness :)

What film and camera did you use out of interest ?

    thanks

    Hi Mark,

I used a minolta dynax with inford 400 film. my digi cam is sony alpha so that’s why i got the minolta just to do the darkroom stuff in my course.
i put some more up here if you’d like a look, i’d be interested to know what you think. I’m still such an amateur ;)

I see what you mean about the guinness, it’s probably not the best of the batch ;)

Hope to take a look at some of your stuff :)

i also prefer the 1st one.. nice shot
if the 2nd pic had of had the pint of guinness slightly in the frame it would have worked better
