Excellent shots Mikka, the goldfinch would be my favourite. Also great detail in the feathers of the Blackbird.

All great images, all nice’n’sharp, especially the 1st one 1/30th. Thank god for IS! :) I like all the colours in the 1st shot, they compliment each other well. 2nd one is my favourite, nicely composed, nice texture in the leaves with a touch of frost, yet simple at the same time.

Great shots. How close could you get to these chappies?

Hi Pixelle, according to my exif the distances were Blackbird 4.37m, Goldfinch 5.66m and Starling 5.19m. They didn’t seem too bothered by me today and the Blackbird toughed it out with 2 of our cats prowling around (without any success I might add)…………/Mikka

Lovely work. My favorite is #3. Something about the look in the birds eye.
