Very nice. I like the vignette and the way the loco is moving through the frame…………/Mikka

Thanks Mikka. Looking at it again, I am not sure if the vignette might be a little too strong, or if it just adds that little bit more to the effect I was looking for.

The dark vignetting makes me feel like the train is moving away from me , Backwards. Maybe a white vignette might suite better?

Thanks for the feedback RAS. I will try to put a white vignette on it, will see if the editing program I use has that as an option.

Nice capture. I’m not usually a great fan of vignetting, but this subject suits the use of it. I also wonder if cropping some of the tracks at the bottom of the shot could be cropped to give the appearance of the train moving towards the bottom of the frame?

Thanks Miki, I have been doing a little adjusting on the image, taking both yours and RAS’ comments into consideration.

This is basically the same shot recropped and with white vignette. Feedback welcome, and comparison with original too. Maybe a little more of the track could be cropped, though for whatever reason, I prefer having track in front of the train, as I’m sure the drivers do too

    Hi Nigel.
I prefer the new version, but I would still crop some from the bottom as the white area in the right corner keeps drawing my eye. Maybe I just have a one track mind.

Thanks for that Miki, I may at some stage edit it a little further, though I feel there has to be a cut-off point when it comes to editing, just a case of not wanting to overdo it on that front. And who knows, maybe you do have a one track mind
