Great shots Gary. 1st wins for me on composition. Is that purely cloud movement on a long exposure or is there also some dodging / burning going on?.,

    Cheers guys :)
These were just single shot long exposures (between 1 1/2 to 2 mins each) shot with a 0.9 ND and a 0.6 ND Grad with my usual processing later.
Might have been a little bit of dodging and burning but the sky effect is from the very long exposure.

Breathtaking! This is beautiful work. You know how to make the commonplace unusual.

What was the length of these exposures roughly? Just wondering about the lovely movement you captured in the sky.

It looks like they are both 30 seconds each, reading the metadata.

    Great work as usual Gary.
    Love that portrait one.
Between the sky and the rocks I feel my eye is really drawn into the image

Hmmm, thats weird. The first one was one of the last shots i took and i know for a fact i shot them in bulb mode because i needed the longer exposures and actually timed it on my watch. But the exif data does say different. Need to figure out why.
