I’m usually a sucker for highly saturated shots, but, for me the saturation on this is a bit over the top. Perhaps you were going for this effect? I think more subtle colours would bring out the best in this shot. Great location, and good lighting, but I think you could have worked something with the fallen tree also.

Would be interested to see if you took any other shots , I probably would have rattled off loads as its not often that you get the chance to shot a scene like this one (was it taken in the bluebell woods in Roscommon?).

Nice shades there, you obviously need to wear them when viewing this photograph.

Looks to me like you must have been wearing those shades when you did your adjustments. Theres no point working on a colour calibrated monitor if you are going to wear sunglasses while doing so.

Seriously though, there is just no way that these colours are realistic. Maybe you were going for a certain look? If so, I think you need to think again. Sorry to be harsh but as a viewer I feel cheated by these adjustments.

I agree with KPM about getting tighter into that fallen tree.

Have to agree there I’m afraid. Almost looks flourescent, hard on the eyes… Good location though, you still might do more with it.

Would you believe took this years ago on a sigma 9d (think thats what it was called) but it had a real knack of over saturating the image,it was taken as is just after a rainfall and incandesent light falling, honestly didnt boost much in contrast. i could bring them out but i guess its down to personal taste, dont really know how i could have worked the tree ? Could you explain pls? Ta
    Ben :?
