Was down in Killinthomas Wood this morning Sunday 15th April, talked to a local who said to me Bluebells were not great this but give them another week. I noticed there has been a lot of tree thinning going which I think has done some damage to this years crop, the wild garlic is also about to flower in the next week or two.
There are still plenty of photo opportunities even now but a wide sweeping shot of a bluebell forest floor might not be on. There is a section called the Bluebell walk quite near the entrance and there are also some at the very back of the forest where I spotted two foxes and a red squirrel.
This was last year 2011 a Zone Plate Pinhole image of Killinthomas.
