I have noted when looking at this preview that the colour seems muted/dull for some reason..they appeared better in CS4 (Really)

Hey Joey,

I like what you are going for here shot 3 is my favourite.

It looks like you were using flash, if so this should allow you to drop your iso/increase your shutter speed.

The backgrounds are kinda distracting in these images, I struggle with this all the time, especially if I’m panning an action shot. If you are using flash, wait till it gets a bit darker

If you are positioning yourself for the background also consider if you can make the composition of the subject more dynamic. If you had been further to the right for example on shot one, and shot from a low angle getting the rider looking towards the lens. Cropping and rotating images can be worth experimenting with too, watch out for horizon too.

Thanks Mr.C for making those pointers…Its a sport i was keen on for years but living in midlands means i don’t get near a skatepark too often. i will get back to these kids late spring and hope to try some new ideas (taking all ur comments with me). Keep ya posted.
