Boat and Abbey

It’s all a bit flat Mary… looks like it was a flat day to start with.
The grassy area where the trees and the Abbey sit is very dark and lacks contrast. The sky looks like its been over-cooked as well.
Just playing about with the shot in Photoshop I can see that you can definetly get more out of it, even a B+W conversion picks it up a little.
Thanks nfl horrible day, Iwill have another go at this or better still if we get fine weather will go back and try and get a better shot.

The sky aside I really like a lot about this. The angle of the boat is great and the red paint really adds to it.
I think the boat and the abbey shouldn’t line up though, having them in different corners might improve the composition.
Nice shot Mary, I agree with lads you could probably get more from this shot. You should certainly pay a return visit in better weather.

The shot has potential , still might be able to PS this and make a decent shot. Would be defo worth a re-shoot in better weather
