I?m looking for some sort of extended manual for Nikon d200, I’m thinking about getting the Tom Hogan’s complete guide to the Nikon D200, anyone has this book, any comments?
Any other suggestions?
I have Simon Stafford’s book on the D200 and have found it useful. It is a handy size (page size) for carrying with you.
I got it in Waterstone’s in Dublin for about 20 euro. I know it is also available on Amazon cheaper. I also have the PIP Guide to the D200 which I got from amazon.
From what I’ve seen on other forums and on Flickr, Thom Hogan’s books seem to be widely regarded as the definitive articles when it comes to any of the Nikon cameras. I can’t speak from experience though as I only have the Magic Lantern guide to the D80. I know they also do a version for the D200, which I’m pretty sure I’ve seen in Brorders in Blanchardstown.
As far as I know, Hogan’s books are only available as e-Books for download.
Thanks for the info, I may get the Simon Stafford’s book if they still have it in Dublin, I was reading some reviews of Tom Hogan’s book and they all good, I will do a bit more googling tonight and we’ll see. If I get the Tom Hogan’s book I’ll let you know what I think about it once I get through it.
