Nice set of images, the heron looks good although I’m more of a red fan myself rather than those pesky greys

Nice set. I like the pesky grey, but also prefer the reds. :)

The reds are out there, follow my flickr link I’ve a ton of images there, is there not a spot in Howth that have them and most forests west of the Shannon have them.

    Nice set Jambomac,
I have a resident heron flying up & down the river in front of my house but can I capture him xxxx!
Plenty of red squirrels in the woods around me too, lovely to see them,

    Thanks mrwall

Got lucky with the heron walking up along the tolka in the botanics and he just buzzed over my head so i turned around and followed.
Plus he was very quick to catch the fish

nice set. love the bounding squirrel, if only it was sharper. heron shots are great.

I feel a little sorry for the Grey squirrels. its not thier fault, and despite what people think, they dont kill the red’s. Red’s and greys will peacefully live side by side. the problem is that the Grey’s “out compete” the reds, making more use of available foods.
