This is my first post so I’m not sure if the image is attached properly.

    C&C welcomed.

    Thanks

Nice first post Dave. Good composition, and a bit different from the usual shots of the bridge. The artist also adds interest and scale. A couple of points which I think could improve it.

The grey border takes away from the overall image. Try a narrower white border instead. Also, the bridge appears to be sloping, not sure if this is how its built, bit I would rotate the image a bit to ensure the bridge is straight. Don’t know about the artists picture being left with colour, I’m 50 50 on that aspect. And finally, perhaps some small adjustments in levels & curves to boost the contrast and give the picture a tad more punch.

Hope I’m not sounding negative, but its a good strong image which has the potential, with a few minor adjustments, to be better.

    Hi Dave … Happy Posting.

I like this image, catching the painter is a nice touch … I’m not a fan of the selective colouring though. Sorry!.

In terms of tips Kevin has pretty much nailed it .. definately an image worth tweaking.

    Cheers ;)

Straightened the bridge and changed the frame. I’m still not sure about the levels though. I have lightened the image to show more deatil but I’m not usre if it should be slightly darker?

    Thanks

I feel really picky   – but its a little small to really say about detail.

Already though the frame makes a HUGE difference don’t you think ?
