    I’ll stick with the seascapes,
It looks like your shooting in very harsh light,
The light in these shots is flat and very unflattering,
This can be improved somewhat by using ND Grad filters,
You may want to consider going out later when the sun is lower in the sky,or indeed earlier,
I shoot a few seascapes ,and I like to include a little foreground interest,
The seascape shots that you have posted don’t really have any focal point,
One thing to watch out for is the horizons on your shots,
Try to keep them reasonably level,
This can be adjusted a bit in PS ,but it’s better to do it in camera.
Have a look at Peter Cox website,He’s a site sponsor.
His website contains many helpful hints and tips,as well as some stunning photographs.

    thanks
well it was 10am monday morning, very sunny clear sky.
i shot with an iso of 400 i think
and i dont actually live near the sea so when im there i take what i can.
also yes my horizons are off i know that, i wanted to take photos of the waves more so then anything else.

Crop the first shot to remove the upper third
and there’s less distraction for your lovely diagonal waves and sand. [Plus you get rid of the horizon problem.]
    Why 400 iso?

    thanks pixelle :)
well i was using av so its what it chose.

    Hi Sandra,

Its not AV thats chosen the ISO as it only automatically sets the shutter speed for you.
You must have some auto-ISO setting turned on. Best to turn it off and control it manually when you feel the need to.
You don’t really want the camera deciding anything for you if possible.

On flynny’s tip regarding getting out early or late, I’m afraid that 10am aint early enough :D

No-one commented on the last photo, so I will. First of all its not a landscape shot, yes its a nice tree trunk
but the shot is far too cluttered. There is too much around the base of the tree and behind the tree yellow sign
sticking out the side of a branch, part of a car bottom left for example.

    Hope this help…

well tbh mark, i dnt really know haha.
and 10 am was when i got to bray. i had to hand my portfolio into IADT dun laoghaire at 9 am and then we got the dart out to bray. so infact i wasnt even trying to be up early :L

and i dnt really mind, i like the tree :L
