the food itself is lovely and sharp caludio and the colours are excellent ….i wonder could you have gone even more shallow with your depth of field (lens permitting ofcouse) and a nice clean table cloth . doing what its supposed to though…im drooling :-)must go up there for lunch/dinner some day…i havent been there in years
0clami79Participantthanks Dallan, i had in mind to use a table cloth but when i was taking the picture i thought peraphs the black would help.. i suppose i should have tried it even just to see the difference.. my first reaction to this picture i thought the glasses were more a distraction than anything else, maybe should have put them on the rhs…
i remember reading that if u can’t change the aperture because of overexposing, you can try and change the angle of the camera (focal plane) achiving the same result but not too sure how… need more practice ;)0shutterbugParticipantI find the cutlery a bit of a distraction, it gives the impression that the plate of
food is finished with and therefore not good, I would either do away with the cutlery
altogether or place them beside the plate on a serviette maybe?0clami79Participantthanks Jenny, appreciate ur thoughts.. will keep that in mind the next time
