Spent lunchtime today photographing these little fellows. Has great even though they’re extremely fast at such short distances.
Taken with 5dmkiii and 100mm F2.8L IS macro at min focus distance
    Any Comments welcome

    Hi Alan.
Nice colours & lighting in these. I would try to avoid shooting straight down on insects & try to get eye contact with them. I would also try to increase the DOF a bit more to keep a bit more of the flower in focus. The 5D iii is a very capable camera at higher ISO’s, so stopping down the aperture a little shouldn’t be an issue in keeping the shutter speed high enough to keep it sharp. Nice set of images. Well done

Thanks Miki. Appreciate the comments. Some of the shots were taken at f7.1 but I was so close the dof was extremely narrow. Will try again at a smaller aperture and try and take from eye level
