Not been on the forum much latley so will get commenting on others pics later on this evening.
Some pics form the last few weeks, nice to have some real light.
All shot with the d200 and sigma 150mm macro and 1.4tc.
Hope you all enjoy this little set of images and thanks for looking.Shot with natural light and a little bit of manual fill flash.
Whit card for background on this one
Natural light and dandlion heaven for the background, left some motion in this image not sure if I like it or not.
A Goose shot at f8 210mm macro again natural light
Vanessa kennedyMemberWhat a great set of shots you got there!
A lot to have in one post, but WOW is all I can say!jessthespringerParticipantCan’t comment on the butterfly pictures (they creep me out too much).
Love the bee though, detail is amazing. I have a brilliant bumble bee
story I tell sometimes when I am drunk. The Goose is cool too, detail again is amazing. I do think the crop is a little
tight though, would like to see a bit more.Sinead.
PixelleMemberDandelion heaven for me, the bee looks to be high all right. [Can you OD on pollen?]
Agree with Jess on too tight crop of goose. What lens did you use?
SodafarlMemberHave to agree with Jess and pixlle the Bee shots are superb especially the first one, the butterflies are good but not just as good as the Bees and yes I think the goose is cropped too tightly as well.

vividimagesMemberAll pics shot with the sigma 150mm macro some with 1.4 teleconvertor etc but all are full frame not cropped. Goose could do with more room but he was only a few feet away and i was sitting amongst a flock of them and wasnt brave enogh to move to quick, unless forced to.
Thanks for comments folks hope to have some more up soon.KeflnParticipantFantastic set, love the Bee shots.
The one with the white background is my favourite, the isolation from any distant distractions really shows off what a beautiful creature it is. Well done!DeeboParticipantCracking set, love the pollen covered Bee. If the wings were sharper that would be a fantastic shot.
Well donepihjinMemberWow!
The first bee shot is stunning. The second butterfly one seems a little too glarey in the light areas but that might just be my screen.
nfl-fanParticipant#3 for me… the clarity & detail are outstanding, nicely composed too. Very nice work.
RavenAshMember#2 Great detail and perfect DOF.
#3 is my Favourite. (ideal backgroud, sharp, detailed and stunning colours off the bee).
#4 wings are blurred out too much, but a outstanding shot.
#5 Agree with the others on the crop.
