I’ve noticed over the last few weeks, how you can go into one camera shop and ask for 120 Kodak Porta VC 400 and it’s a different price in EVERY shop. Does anyone have anywhere they would advise going…and who they know that do cheap reliable dev and contact?

    Johnny,

I buy my film in http://www.7dayshop.com – usually aroung the 2 pound a roll mark. If you are really stuck I have a couple of those kodak rolls in my freezer.

    For processing I use http://www.peak-imaging.co.uk
You pay a bit over the odds but you get great quality, and great service.

Ditto that Kevin – I always bought my film from 7dayshop and also used Peak Imaging for rollfilm D&P. My 120 slides were developed by Filmbank on Baggot Street.

    Just for those in Dublin…

Tried Camera Exchange and they’re out but said they’ll be getting some in at ?3.95 a roll

    As for Conn’s…pack of 5 for ?25…singular I’m guessing more than ?5…

    Get me now?

Have you tried John Gunn’s camera shop on Wexford Street?

As much as I like John Gunn’s….he over charges. I did find out on the weekend though, in Conn’s camera off Wicklow St…if you just as for develop..no prints…no cd…no contact sheet, it’s only going to cost ?3.95 each. And then just scan them in yourself with a neg scanner. I asked the guy…”so how much more than per roll does it cost to scan???”…..”ohhhh….12 euro’s”

    Yeah…I think i ain’t gonna do that!
