Buying a Camera up North

    Hi all,

I want to upgrade to a D700 and was checking out the prices in Jessop’s in Newry.

D700 in Jessop’s is 1899.99 pounds which is 2416.99 Euro compared to 2599.99 in Dublin. Thats nearly a difference of 200 Euro.

Based on price alone this is a no-brainer…

Any advice, for, or against would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Stephen

i’ve never used them to buy a camera, but i have been in their showrooms and they have been around for a while.
they also do direct conversion into euro

Was going to mention DL Kirkpatrick as well, they are a very good
company to deal with and the D700 is only €2254 there and cheaper
if you have a vat no.

Wow, Rip off Ireland once again. And they say there’s very little margin to be made on camera equipment.

The website seems to be down right now but you could also try calumet in belfast. The new store just opened on the boucher road.
Ive used a few different calumet stores and have always had great dealings with them.
