Hello…I hope it is okay to ask this question…due to selling a vehicle I have finally the funds to upgrade and buy fast lenses…if one walks into a camera shop wishing to purchase 2 cameras ie; 5D MK11 and 2 fast lenses ie: 24-70m f2.8L and 70-200m 2.8 L (canon), is there any likelihood of a few bob off the total price?! thankyou….i am just curious to know what you think….Amy

There is, especially if you “threaten” the shopkeeper that if he doesn´t give you a discount, you will buy it from a different shop.

Hi – i bought my EOS 7D a few weeks ago from http://www.imagesupplysystems.com/.

They were €200 cheaper than any other Dublin retailer. ( €1500 as against €1700 everywhere else) – and pretty much same price as Amazon.

Not only that – he gave me a 1TB external HDD (€70) and a spare battery (€60).

They are the ‘Offical Canon’ dealer ( i think).

They also have bi-yearly visits from Canon technicians who will service your camera & lenses for free (wet sensor clean, firmware etc)

    Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Get the Amazon prices first so you are armed with the info.

Off the beaten track – but near Harcourt St & St Stephens Green.

    ciao

I always ask for discounts. They’re not going to put the price up so you’ve nothing to lose!
