    Hello again all.

Just wondering where’s a safe place to buy online.
    Im after a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 for a nikon (D80).

I’m looking at Simply Electronics and Kea Photo; anyone have any experience with either?
    Or know anywhere better?

My budget doesnt alow for buying in Ireland, really!

Hi there….there have been some warnings on this forum recently in relation to
    Simply Electronics.

From my point of view I’ve never had any problems with http://www.7dayshop.com and
I also have seen a number of forum members recommend calumet http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/

Just don’t be hasty with your purchase, check out the options.

There was a thread fairly recently where everyone submitted their thoughts on various on line retailers and, notably, ebay shops. Would be worth a search to find it.

I like Robert White (http://www.robertwhite.co.uk), although I’m not sure if they carry Tamron kit.

eBay is a pretty good way to go, too. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a very high feedback rating. Some of the better Hong Kong sellers have 10k+ feedbacks. They must be doing something right.

    Cheers,

Try some of these, see if they stock Tamron, would be interested to know how you get on with this as I’ve been having my eye on a purchase for a while and this lens peaked my interest too….
