Alan i had to look at these a couple of times so i guess that has to be good but no 2 immediatley caught my attention
very simple shots which work very well in b&w the long exposures and the processing are excellent.Mick

Peter – Yeah, it’s like Marmite. Appreciate the point of view though.

Alan.
Yeah marmite is right. Never could stand the stuff. Look Alan the photo’s ar not bad at all. I absolutly will not compare them to marmite. But you nailed it with that comment. You get it or you don’t get it.
Anyway looking back on them with comments made after I made that comment I look a little bit different at them now. As a set looking to them from left to right they might actually look very nice.
I’m a peanutbutter manjustaguyParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantjustaguyParticipantNo no no. With sambal badjak (Indonesian chilli) on bread. The best thing you ever ate
seanmcfotoMemberBlindVisionParticipantLudaParticipanteshortieParticipantHaha it doesn’t distract really I was just wondering what it was. Great photo with or without.
JMac-2006ParticipantReally like these type images Alan, especially like the second, the shoreline is really rich blacks
the first is a bit soft i think – with the vignette and the moving clouds i imagine it looks a bit like looking through a hood in a snow storm or is that just me :)
the third could benefit from POV as Rob suggestedpiusno1MemberIt has all been said before me, no2 is one for me. I also think the line in no3 is more distracting thats my take anyway.

Alan RossiterParticipantCheers folks.
Looks like it’s number 2 then.
The next aim – to replicate the U” album cover…difficult, or what?
Alan
wesleylawMemberNo. 2 for me. The vignette frames the sky nicely but is a bit strong on the beach. The balance between light and dark tones in no.3 is very appealing too. Very nice set of images.
MoongirlParticipantI also love these type of shots, especially in black and white.
Really simple and minimal. Agree they would make a great set, in a row on, a wall.
Makes a change from over processed, bright coloured postcardy type pics.
( not that I don’t like those too sometimes ! ) :)
