what do you think of the Elinchrom D-Lite, I am toying with the idea of a set of lights to start trying abit of portrait. Keep getting a hardtime about photographing landscapes and not the kids
RobMemberLovely portrait indeed. I presume you have a few more from this session?
Any with your model engaging with the camera? Would love to see a few
more from your shoot…Rob.

Ha ha ha. I get this every time. “you photograph all the birds and the buildings but never the kids!!” This was the missus. :)
Elinchrom is a great set. Get the D-Lite 2 as D-Lite 4 is way to powerful for portraits on location. Even for a small studio D-Lite 4 are to powerful.

Rob. Thank you for your kind comment.
I have loads from this session but did not have time to process them. I picked two that I like and that I am going to work on a bit before printing.
Even though I shot only in raw I played a bit with the WB in the camera as I noticed that it has a huge impact on the red channel and as far I notice the red channel is the one that holds most of the information.
Both photos are taken with a 80-200 f/2.8 which I find WAY sharper then the 70-200 f/2.8
PixelleMember#1 is my fave.
There seems to be a makeup tidemark at the hairline in #3, and her neck makeup doesn’t match her face.
Her hat is too overwhelming in #2, imho.
Just my thoughts.121FOTOParticipantNo 2 and 3 are straight from the camera but good points…I did not notice the make-up line. 8) Time to get the Wacom out and do some post-processing.
Broadford1ParticipantGfoxParticipant121FOTOParticipantExpresbroParticipantVery nice portrait shots…
I recently bought the Elinchrom D-Lite 2 Kit myself, but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I did set it up to make sure the basics were working and it really is amazing, when you see it all st up, how it fits into two relatively small bags.
Hopefully I’ll be able to post some shots soon using the lights.
