    Hi Fintan,

With just two weeks to go to the workshop, I have a few questions:

Can you provide us with the final cost & when you want to get paid?
What do we need to bring with us?
Anything else you need to tell us?
Where are we going for pints afterwards?

Just spotted this thread – too late I know.

Let me know if anyone drops out and a place becomes available.

Sorry Daky, you’re #4 on the cancellation list, I wish i wasnt as quick to book his flights or I would have tried for a 2nd day. Sorry, maybe another time.

    Check your PMs Peter.

This workshop is on tomorrow and I’m really excited about it     [its full by the way]

I’ve seen notices before about workshops by Tim Rudman, all in Canada or the USA. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect a workshop in Dublin. Good training in Ireland just doesnt seem to happen too often [notably excepting Dave in Digital Beginners for his Digital training]

I’d like to thank Mark for allowing this tread to be a sticky and letting me solicit participants [you can un-sticky now Mark if you like] and everyone that made enquiries.

All going well tomorrow, we will work on arranging some more workshops in the future based on the same fee i.e. the cost of running the workshop divided by the no of participants. Feel free to post or pm me your wishlist of film/darkroom topics or trainers

    Thanks,

    Fintan

Thanks again Fintan for organising the workshop. It was very enjoyable and great meeting yourself, Eddie, Joe, Catherine and Fiona. It was also great to see a master printer at work.

Looking forward to the next one.

A big thanks to Fintan for organizing the workshop (great job), and to all the participants for a fun day out. I look forward to seeing some lith prints up here, eh?

Hey guys, thanks for the note of thanks. Thank you for coming and being prompt for payment
Anyway, it was really superb to meet like-minded photographers like yourselves and hope we can meet again before too long. I was totally blown away by Tim Rudman, he made it look soo easy and made you feel very enthusiastic. I was exhausted but didnt want to stop :P
I’ll get him back in 4-5 months.

Fair play to Pete Smyth and Tanya in http://www.galleryofphotography.ie who were brilliant, its a really great facility. I’ve been a member for a good few years. Its only ?40 per year and you get 5% off in the bookshop and ?15 for a half day in a darkroom is fantastic. Think about joining up

So see y’all here in Film Photography or over at APUG.org and thanks again lith people 8)

BTW Catherine good luck finding a darkroom!
BTW2 Hopefully Fiona will join PI soon, if you see her, remind her.

Fintan, Another big thank you from me. You took a big risk taking on such a big project but did a great job on the organisation of the workshop. I also enjoyed meeting and working with Catherine, Peter and Fintan. I found Tim inspiring, both on the demonstartion of the lith printing process and on all the general questions he answered for me. His knowledge is astounding. The mental list of unanswered questions i had going to the workshop were all answered throughout the day, even those slightly off subject ones i slipped in over lunch.

I will be exploring lith printing for some time to come. I took a few snaps on the compact and will put them up over the weekend. Thanks once again for opportunity Fintan.

Thanks Eddie, I hope Joe found it good too. Your questions were great and I learned a lot from them. Look forward to seeing your lith tests. Maybe we should all meet up for a coffee in a month or 6 weeks and show our new stuff?

In the meantime I’m planning another course…. stay tuned.

Thats a good idea, a meet up to share ideas and share our work. Look forward to the next venture.
