Nice composition Enzo, it is a very ‘classic’ shot. I think there is something a bit funky going on with your colour balance. If you have Photoshop, try going into the colour balance tool (or creating a colour balance adjustment layer) and pushing some cyan towards red in your midtones.
Enzo, that looks to be the same as the original photo? Making that adjustment I suggested should be having a much more dramatic effect.
I pushed a little the cyan towards the red on the first one…try to see this one…

Yes, I like the change Enzo. It helps separate the elements of the scene a little.
To play devils advocate, I like the original post better than the edited one further down !
However, I would like to see a lower viewpoint maybe as currently it feels like I’m looking over a wall or something down at the pier, whereas I want to feel that I am standing on the pier, more “in the scene”
