Camera advice for a newbie?

    Hey,
we might have met. I lived there from 2006 until 2008.

I had a look at different webpages like pixmania.ie and elara.ie but I can not find the right one. I want a kit with it as well like extra lens and extra stuff like bag and neck thingy.

Give the shop or my mobile 087-2572688 a ring tomorrow and I’ll see what we can do.

NIKON D60 with VR NIKKOR 18-55 mm and VR DX 55-200 mm Lens, Nikon Bag, 2 Gb card and Nikon training.

I live in Sligo now though.

And I want the Canon D450 or D1000.

I pay around €650 but not more.

I can’t help you then as we don’t sell Canon. I could sell you D60 and the 18-55VR lens only if that would interest you as it would be below your budget.

Just to throw me oar in . . .

There are a number of photographers switching
from Canon to Nikon because of the fantastic 14-24 wide angle lens.

I would love to get me hands on one of these and if you are
into landscape photography, it would be worth considering.
but it is not cheap, of course.

There is little or no difference between the two makers.

    good luck in your quest

Yeah thats for your help anyway. Everyone seems to be going for the Canon though. My first one was a Nikon but not professional one obviously.

And again it is going to be crap, but with canon logo on it…
Save your money and buy once but well and let it be a robust camera like canon 40d (ar least).
