Hi All 3 cameras are great I have had a D300 and now own a D300s and D700, What do you want to shot? are you prepared to invest in FF lenses for the D700? The is certainly value to be had in the D300 which is a fantastic camera I have only used the Video on it twice since I bought it and the reason I bought it was because I sold my D300 and regreted it as I want a lighter camera with a lighter lens for general walk around use. The D700 coupled with the 14 – 24 24-70 and 70-200 is an awsome kit espesially in low light.

I have D300 and it’s fantastic. I thought about buying a D700 and decided that there wasn’t a need for me to have an FX lens system, so I spent the money on a D300 and the difference on accessories. They’re both awesome, the D700 is basically a D3 in a D300 body, and is better for low-light as it has better performance at high-iso.
