Candid Shot of an Affectionate Couple + 2 More

Yup. I’m afraid if said couple (possibly allegedly) were indeed involved in an illicit affair, then embracing each other in a romantic way on the middle of the street is not the best way to keep it private.
Actually…we donl;t even know that this is a romantic engagement at all. We are surmising based on a brief second that the camera captured.
For all we know they are brother and sister or best friends reunited.
Or in the case of a famous photograph called The Kiss, complete strangers setting up a shot for a photographer…
Assumptions are a dangerous thing and tend to make the mind narrower in my view.
Either ways..invasion of privacy? No. Because they are in a public place. End of story.
And in our security obsessed culture we are constantly on camera anyway. Just how many state owned and privately owned security cameras do you think there are along O’Connell St. alone?
Probably a lot more than you think.
I wouldn’t worry about stuff like that after the fact. I’d be more worried about some nutcase hitting me over the head with a bar to be honest.
And hopefully somebody would have a camera and catch it for posterity.

Totally agree! and as I said in my original post on the image..”they are really in to each other”
I have spoken to the member who brought up this topic with me and said member will have a look at the responses when back home, and maybe come in and give some views.
As for me I’m out on the ‘batter’ for the night and will see you all tomorrow

Hi..I am sorry..I had every intention before of letting you know that I really like the first so much. It has such an unbridled joy about it. Have to love that couple no matter how they are or are not related. It’s a nice set and this is an interesting thread so I am sorry I got distracted there :D
Martin and Sinead~~~expresbro has given me about three Irish language dictionaries over these many years and every time I think I am a proficient Irish speaker someone comes up with yet another expression for ~going out this evening for a beer~…amazing. I will have to get that book though…and Martin if you were a nicer friend you would have given it to me for my birthday last week
:P
lost1ParticipantExpo 2000ParticipantHi all,
Wow, it’s nice that my photo sparked some debate and I thank you all for contributing. Taking candid shots is what I really enjoy and it’s great to have some debate covering this area.
I’d like to add that, I hope it’s obvious by the shot, that it was taken because I wanted to capture a beautiful moment. It was taken at the Spire on O’Connoll St. They were definately a couple as just before they were kissing. I hope for them and the person(s) not in this picture, that it isn’t an affair. If it is, that’s there problem. Should they be having an affair in the first place? Well, I’m not to judge that am I? I was just capturing a sensual moment. (or at least trying)

Lol….
I agree with you completely.
DeverDoll: Thank you kindly
summerdreamnMemberi really like all of them. i have to say, great captures and with the debate on the whole invasion of privacy thing, i’d be very much on the side of “they’re in a public place” but in saying that, i don’t have the balls myself to snap away like this. gotta get over that!

Thanks very much.
Well, I used a 300mm zoom lens. It helps alot. Lately I’ve just been trying to build up my confidence by just doing it and hoping for the best. Sometime I get funny looks most of the time it’s ok.
