Canon 10-22 for repair ??

Does anyone have experience of a similar breakage and is it worth trying to get fixed? I got the name of http://www.cameracare.ie/services.html” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; already but have yet to call into them.

Optically it looks OK (Zoom and focus rings still work) but the rear part of the barrell that houses some small PCB’s and ribbon cables is almost completely detached.
