Selling my 14mm 2.8 L as its now surplus to requirements.
This lens is in mint condition. As new and used about 10 times.

might be interested, are you VAT registered or selling as a private seller?
lens is second hand and I can’t get vat back on it and won’t get a proper receipt so my accountant will give out about me writing it of as an expense, how about you make a counter offer or just keep my details and if you don’t sell it in the next while feel free to get back to me
Counter offer 1,000 subject to inspection. I brought this lens into Conns 4 weeks ago for inspection and valuation and they said 1,600.
they had a nice one for sale for 1,400 a while ago and I could get VAT back, claim as an expense and get a warantee with it. €800
time value of money…. €1,000 is assumed to be worth more now than in six months time, so holding out for an extra €125 when it could take months doesn’t make sense, plus the longer you wait the greater you risk your lens devaluing due to replacement and age….. anyway feel free to wait till the new year… other wise come back to me
I understand your logic. However the 14 2.8 is like a good wine. It’ll never age. It’s not a piece of glass that I’m anxious to part with or in a hurry to part with so, as Clint Eastwood would say, for ‘a few dollars more’ you’ve got yourself a bargain. And you know you have. ‘nough said.
