Canon 30D

I am looking to get a Canon 30D and have already posted an add on the site. I know this is probably not the right question to be asking after putting up an add, but how much should I expect to spend on a second hand 30D with or with out a lens. I know I would have to pay more if the lens supplied was a good one, but say it’s just the body that I am paying for, how much might I expect to spend on it?
Thanks stcstc, but your price sounds like what you might spend on a brand new one. I am not sure a second hand camera body would cost the best part of 1000?. On pixmania I can get a camera body for ? 1 041,50, why would a second hand one cost around the same price?
well i was basing the price on two things
the price new in conns camera in dub, who people say is a little expensive, 1199 euro
and if you look on buy and sell, they few i have seen have been in and around that sort of price

Its basically the same camera as the 30D but has a smaller LCD, hasnt got spot metering and the buffer is a tad smaller…!

Ok thanks again stcstc, sorry I did not understand where you were getting the prices from and apologise if I sounded a bit sharp. I was looking at the buy and sell on the net, I saw one for 700 but it must be a scam, as I have not got an email back. I need a camera ASAP as I have a local community project, that will require a good camera.
If you want to buy a 30d, go for a new one, if you want a great body, the 20d is basically the same. If you are serious, you’ll spend much more on lenses and accessories anyway.
I ordered mine from Hong Kong and I recieved it all in one piece. Came to 1300 in total, and for that I got:
Canon EOS-30D body
Canon f/4-5.6 17-85 IS USM lens
Canon BG-2 battery grip
Generic 2GB CF card
Full cleaning kit

What value did they put on it for customs??Or is it one of those companies that states that they will pay any VAT incurred? If so were you stopped with customs.I have ordered from Hong Kong in the past without any customs issues but never anything over ?200 I would be curious about the link myself.
