Canon 400 D bent pins & Card error

A friend of mine has a 400 D where 1 of the pins for CF card got bent.

They were straightened but camera still saying error with card.

Left into camera shop and they say €275 to replace board.

Anyone know a cheaper way of doing this.

Did yoiu eber rec=solve this issue.

I have a 350D and was quoted €185 to get it replaced! :(

yes i paid 275 and got repair done
