SeaviewParticipant
Looking to invest in a little bit of extra kit in the near future. Anyone know of any good deals out there at present, I would prefer to by offline.
1) Canon BG-E3 battery grip.
2) Batteries to suit, not canon as they cost the earth.
3) Remote control, wireless or not. Thanks in advance.
Dave.PodgeMember1) Can’t help you here.
2) Get Hahnel batteries (I think the model is HL2LH), they last longer than the Canon ones – http://www.hahnel.ie
3) Bought a wireless one for ?29.99 in the Camera Centre at the top of Grafton Street – http://www.camera.ieSeaviewParticipantThanks for your help Podge, will certainly buy the batteries. As for the remote I was hoping somewhere closer to the republic of Cork.
Dave.
stcstcMemberi had a hanel battery grip for my 350d which fitted the 400 and it came with 2 batteries for the price of the canon grip
PodgeMemberHowdy Steve. I don’t think the Hahnel battery grip is as good as the Canon one but it is cheaper. Its missing some buttons available on the Canon one I believe.
stcstcMemberyea doent have the extra shutter button, but to tell you the truth i found the grip better as its not as fat at the bottom
SeaviewParticipantI have heard that the Hahnel grip isn’t quite as good as the canon grip so will probably stick with the canon grip and Hahnel batteries as suggested by Podge.
Thanks for the info.
Dave.rodomanMemberI know you said your rather buy offline, but I bought, Canon Battery grip, 2 non Canon Batteries included in the deal ?80, not including p&P from Hong Kong.
Bought the Canon RS-60E3 from the same seller, that was a little over ?4 not including P&P, if you were buying online, you could mail the seller before purchase, and ask him if he would bundle the items to save on postage. On one Photo magazine I saw the same grip NO BATTERIES for ?69.99 – ?94
Dunno about telling you about the seller, or his business on this site, but if you change your mind and decide to buy online msg me
BrickeeParticipantI bought a Opteka battery grip w/two batterys and a AA battery cartrige through amazon.com(47th st. photo) for $79
looks, fits and works great. also its made at the same plant as the canon one.Jim
