Canon 40d

I’ve had my 40D about 3 weeks now and find it brilliant. I’ve upgraded from the 20D. So many brilliant features – larger LCD, larger memory buffer, 14bit RAW files, spot metering, faster and sharper AF, more picture control, higher burst rate … the list goes on.
The quality of photos from it is just great too. I use mine for everything from sport to model photography.

The camera menus were all in English, and today I just received an English manual from Digitalrev
Also invested in the Canon 40D and received it last weekend.
For those wary of buying online etc, dixons taxfree in the UK airports are selling it in Kit with the 17-85mmIS USM lens for Stg 817 or thereabouts. Word of warning .. Dixons staff in the UK don’t know how to handle a laser card even if it is Maestro enabled, so it’ll be cash or cr-card for payment. I would have had my camera a week earlier if it wasn’t for their idiocy :(You can call their branches before passing through the airport to have one held aside for you, but also be warned in typical dixons fashion they’ll to sell you all sorts of extra stuff when you are getting it.
