Canon 450 D replacement

Wondering whether I could get some advice:

I have a Canon 450 D , with the kit 18-55 and 55-250 lenses. Problem is my camera suffered some water contamination. I sent it to ISS who in turn sent it to the UK for repair. They came back and told me it was irreparable. This is a little confusing as it did not suffer much water ingress however I guess there is nothing I can do.

This has left me in a position of needing to investigate replacement;
I would like to get body only but looking at the bundles that are on offer this does not make sense. Is there anywhere you can get body only at a reasonable price?

In terms replacement is there sufficient difference to look at the 600d over the 550d?

Would I be better selling the lenses I have and look at Nikon. The bundle deals on offer has left me frustrated as I really only need body only .

Any advice would be appreciated.

I was happy with the 450d performance
