Canon 50mm mk2 lens?

Is it worth buying the canon 50mm mk2 lens? i already have 18-55 & 75- 300
you will get fantastic results with a 50 mm prime lens, especially if you shoot people
Great for low light and really sharp.
I use a 50 1.4 as my main lens.
Its streets ahead of your currenly lenses.

paulSorry for the silly question, but what is meant by prime lens?
In a prime lens, the focal length is fixed, as opposed to a zoom lens.
You use your feet to frame the shot. Sometimes refered as to ‘foot focus’
brenI forgot to say that it is worth getting – and i’d recommend it. I have one.
The 50mm f1/4 is of course a better lens – but its ST £269.00. the f1/2 version is approx ST£1300
You won’t get a better lens for €100.
