Canon 5d mark II

It will be interesting to see some reviews, wonder how the D700 is going to compete with Canon. But looking at Nikon’s recent strategy we won’t have to wait for too long before we see some new staff coming up, well good competition is always good for customers.

Why did you post that link??! You’ve spoiled my afternoon now. Nay, my weekend. Nay – possibly even Christmas
Some impressive samples at 6400 alright – not what I want to be thinking about right now being absolutely brassic :(
ThorstenMemberI must admit, I’m somewhat sceptical about those sample images. When I was at Photovision a few weeks ago, Canon wouldn’t allow me to put my own CF card into their new 50D to fire off some test shots. I’ve seen the same restrictions relating to the 5D MkII on various forums. Given that the camera doesn’t come to market until late November, I can’t see Canon relaxing this restriction of taking test shots. Besides, who knows what changes they are going to make to the firmware prior to the release of the camera that will affect the results. The only real tests are those coming from full production models, and not from pre-production sample models.
ThorstenMemberDamien Lovegrove has some “genuine” high-iso images taken with the EOS 5D Mk II on his blog. If you click on the images they open up as the full size image complete with EXIF intact. Worth a look!
pihjinMemberThis video was taken by vincent LaForet in the Canon 5D Mk II
It’s all very low light and quite hard-to-shoot stuff anyway (I studied film production for a few years).
this video alone makes me want to sell my organs for this camera…
AND it can take stills while you’re filming.http://www.vincentlaforet.com/
