Are you sure this works on the 40D I’ve been looking around and any description of it only says the 20D and 30D…even on the Canon Website. And the BG-E2N (whatever the difference is) had the 40D and 50D mentioned

I have a 50D myself, and would be interested if I thought it would work.

Jody….I previously used this grip on my 20d and it is now working fine
on my 40d.
I’ve seen the posts you mention about the “N” version but my experience
is that its ok. Best to satisfy yourself though before buying.

it’ll work on the 40d as well as the 50d-difference between it and the bg-e2n is a felt ‘seal’ around the battery compartment
