Canon EF-S 10-22: Anyone got 1?

Anyone got one of these EFS lenses?
They seem to get some good reviews online and the widest lens I have at the minute is a 50 1.4 :oops:
Opinions appreciated.

I bought my Canon EF-S10-22 about a year ago from a fellow camera club member.
I really like this lens and use it regularly.It has very good DOF and the 16mm wide end is very useful.
The AF works well and smoothly as does the zoom.You have to be very careful when using the wide end if you want to have
everything nice and straight but I suppose that’s true of any wide lens.The only drawback I feel it has for me is that I would have to replace it

If you want a wide angle zoom I don’t think you would be sorry if you bought one of these.

Thanks for the info John, just what I was looking for and your image on the other thread is excellent.
As you say the only thing that is at the back of the mind is that if I go full frame at some stage then the lens would need to go, but only have the 7D a few months so safe for a whilke yet.

Hey Sparkie, see from the other thread that you would consider a Sigma 10-20. Me too!
In Berminghams shop in town the other day lloking at the Canon 10-22 and was very pleased with the look and feel and they even threw it on a 7D body for me. €750 blips new. They aslo have a second hand 10-20 for €400 if you are interested.
What is your opinion on the the Canon over the Sigma?
wow, 400 sounds good. i havent had a chance to try out the sigma but from the reviews i have read it is a pretty decent competitor to the 10-22.
