Canon EOS 1V HS for sale

    This is my backup camera, I got it a little while ago but I?ve actually haven?t had the occasion to use it much. I only went through a couple of rolls with it. The camera has gone through 724 rolls, which is nothing for a professional camera like this one (it can easily take on many more thousands of rolls). So instead of having it sitting in its box, I decided to put it for sale.

    About the camera itself, there are some minor scratches, there since I got it, near the hot shoe and on the base of the power booster (also has a yellowish colour mark), but nothing to impair its great performance. These are just some cosmetics scratches, the inside (film chamber and mirror) is spotless. I’ve taken extra good care of it, as I do will all my photography gear.

    The pictures taken from this camera are stunning!
    Not even talking about the lightning fast auto-focus (45 focus points): the fastest of the range! :cool:

    The box includes:

    * EOS 1 V HS, in perfect working condition
    * Power Drive Booster, PB-E2 (takes 8 alkaline batteries, batteries not included)
    * Front cap
    * 2 camera neck straps
    * EOS 1V HS user guides in English and French
    * The EOS 1 V Canon camera description (black booklet)
    * EOS 1V accessories list
    * EOS 1V custom functions summary note
    * Canon PB-E2 instructions booklet
    * + Some more Canon papers, all documents are in excellent conditions
    * + I will also include some pro films (kept in the fridge) colour + B&W

    Asking price for the lot is Euro 650.
    Item location is in Dublin 6

    Contact me for more info.

    650 euros! Sweet price for the best camera Canon ever made…I’d be tempted if I didn’t have an EOS 3-HS sitting in my cupboard.

    Oh, I don’t know. I reckon that the Canon F-1N was their best camera ever and the T-90 their most revolutionary one – just my opinion (sorry for taking the thread off topic).

    yes indeed, this is a serious piece of equipement. Not just the shutter, but the whole body feels just incredible! Magnesium frame, the weight in hand, all buttons sealed to dust and water, the ergonomy… everything falls under the finger. Once you’ve used a 1V (or 1D) it is really hard to get back to a smaller body. You’ve been warned! :twisted:

    I’ve not used the F-1N or T90, but 1V is sweet IMO. And yes, a proper film shutter noise is mega! We’ll not mention the massive bright viewfinder either!

    I would differentiate a “classic” from the “best”, this is the best in my mind.
