No harm in posting the same thing a second time – it means more people will see it. Besides, there are other newbies here who would not have seen my original post and who may be interested in it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to go and download a large file I already had. Didn’t know the original link had been made redundant either.
As to later question posed by p&s, “what about Nikon?” Valid point. But it is a Canon document on Canon’s corporate site! Nevertheless it still makes for interesting reading even for non-Canon folk.
