if your trying to save money. buy the 430. because its canon it sortta just works with the camera you have

I have both the Canon 580EX and the Metz 45CL4 Digital and I just find that the Canon is too “blue” for skin tones. Its ETTL mode is not all its supposed to be if you really push it. For good skin tones the Metz, to me, is the best. It gives the skin that natural look. I bought the Canon with the camera but ended up getting the Metz later just to kill off the bluish tone on the skin. I know that photoshop will cure this but at a busy time I might have 2500 to 4000 images to go through in a week and playing about in PS is just not an option.

If you’re after “perfect” flash photo’s then manual is the only way to go IMHO.
