Canon Gear

I’ve decided to sell all of my SLR gear, and just go with a rangefinder, and 3 prime lenses.
Here’s a list of what I’m selling at the moment, (nearly) all Canon.
I plan to sell my medium format gear and other stuff at a later date when I get time to take images of them. Most of what’s listed below don’t really need pics.
The price in brackets is the new price in Conn’s Cameras (plus 1cent), followed by my asking.
Most were bought in Dublin, and some haven’t been used at all.
Where I say ‘as new’ it means there are no marks whatsoever, on body, glass etc, and the item comes complete with box, caps, hood etc, everything you get when new. I ‘may’ be able to dig up receipts, but to honest, I’m very careless when it comes to receipts. I know I have some, but I may have binned others, I can’t be sure until I have a good search.
I’m not at home until the weekend, so I won’t be able to check codes & shutter counts until then.
Please don’t be offended if you put in a silly offer, and I ignore it.

Please, NO SWOPS, unless it’s a Leica 90mm Elmarit, or Leica 50mm f1.4 ASP, I’m not interested.
I’m trying to cut back, not add to.

    Canon 8-15mm Zoom Fisheye – As New – (€1640)………… €1150
    Canon 16-35mm Mk II – As New – (1500)…………………… €1100
    Canon 24mm TS-E Mk II – As New – (€2370)………………. €1600
Canon 24-105mm f4 IS – As New – (€1000)…………………… €725 (white box, part of kit)
    Canon 85mm f1.2 Mk II – As New – (€2440……………….. €1800
    Canon 90mm TS-E – As New – (€1450)…………………………. €900
Canon 15-85 EF-S IS – As New – (€630………………………….. €425 (white box, part of kit)
    Canon 580 EXII Flash – As New – (€500)………………………. €375
Canon 5D Mk II – Used a little (I’d say 3-5k actuations) otherwise as new…(€2200)…..€1500

    Canon 7D + Genuine Canon BG-E7 Grip and 2nd battery – Used a little (I’d say around 7k actuations) 95% as new – (€1550 + €220 = €1770)…….€1250

Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS – Used a bit, glass perfect & Paint excellent incl. box, hood, collar, caps etc
Great lens. The MkII version is slightly better, but a lot dearer (€2375)…………….€1050

    Canon 300mm f2.8 – Some paint loss, optics perfect, c/w hood & caps…………… €1700
(The sharpest lens I’ve owned. Not IS, but IS no benefit for sports shooting anyway, which is what this lens excels at. (IS II version sells for €7720 in Conn’s)

    Carl Zeiss 35mm f2 ZE – As New – (€1070)………………………… €725

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

    Hi,
Don’t know how old, I intend to get the date code tomorrow.
I bought it secondhand from Alan Mc Donnell, who used to have a place in Portabello.
Haven’t used it much, I’m not really a sport/nature photographer, but I do know it’s one of, if not the sharpest lens I’ve ever had (and I’ve had some amount of lenses  , believe me, be it Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Hasselblad, Mamiya or Bronica)

    Hi
Here’s an update on the above gear.

    Canon 16-35 ii – SOLD
    Canon 24-105 – SOLD
    Canon 85 f1.2 ii – SOLD
    Canon 15-85 IS – SOLD
    Canon 5D ii – SOLD
    Canon 580 ii – SOLD
    70-200 f2.8 is – SOLD
    Canon 24 TS-E ii – SOLD

    I’m withdrawing the 7D & Grip
When I took it out I noticed some dust in the viewfinder, which I want to get cleaned before selling. Also, it has a generic grip, not Canon.
(I got confused because I have a 20D, and that has a Canon grip)

    Still Available:
    Canon 8-15mm Fisheye Zoom
    Canon 90mm TS-E
    Canon 300mm f2.8 (non IS)
    Carl Zeiss ZE 35mm f2

Sorry Flinny, with all the selling today, I forgot to check the code on the 300mm  . I’ll check tomorrow evening.

    Hi Flynny,
    Sorry about the delay.
The date code is: UM0250 which makes it manufactured inFeb 1998, by my reckoning.

    Noel.

Yeth, I know Noel, must be the economic downturn (he said after forking out a small fortune on a camera body that doesn’t even have AF)

    Hi,
As I said, this lens is in super condition.
So I’d be looking for the asking price of €900, or very close.
The offer you made is less than 1/2 the current retail price.
    Thanks anyway.
