Ok I know this topic has been asked many times but im really muddled with the choice of a new lens. I got the canon 1000d kit with kit lens and bought the 50mm f1.8 a while after. Liked this lens but didnt have lenght for some shots sometimes. Anyway my little niece dropped my camera at the zoo the other day and smashed this lens.
So im going to get a new lens on a small budget. I know what lenses I woudl like with alot of money but for now it needs to be cheap yet good quality and cover most everything I like. I take alot of wide angle shots, landscape mainly but also would like some zoom capability and something fairly sharp, basically the best lens I can get for the money.
So I have been looking at two lenses, the EF-S 18-135mm IS and the EF 28-135 mm IS USM. Both roughly similar on paper in terms of numbers and all, but I want to know how both really work for people. I have read hundreds of reviews but im looking to get some first hand advice on how these lens’ work, espcially in Ireland. Any help on this I would really appreciate as the massive choice can be a bit ovrwheleming for my beginner mind. Thanks all
