    Hey all,

ive been looking around the site for a while now, and have finally gotten round to posting!!

I bought a Canon ip4500 printer recently, and the colours being printed dont match my screen. All the photos printed seem to be much warmer…

    Any ideas appreciated

Have you calibrated your screen and got a proper profile for your paper/printer combination?

No, the monitor is not calibrated. Its a dell inspiron 6400 laptop with vista on it, and i believe there is compatability issues wit vista on a lot of the calibration tools. Do you know if this is the case?

Im using canon photo paper and inks, so i presume there would already be a proper profile for them?

    Thanks

Dont know about Vista as I dont use it but hear there are many problems in it anyway so it would not surprise me to hear about issues with monitor calibration.

You will need to get a profile written for your canon printer and the canon paper that you use. Have that loaded to windows and have it auto selected as the chosen profile you wish to use each time you print a pic.
