It looks like all the talk about the new 5D MKII shadowed the announcement of the new lens which is canon’s fixed 24mm 1.4 more info at Canon’s website

I could not find any post mentioning the new sigma 50mm 1.4 more information at Sigma’s website
This lens is been on the market for a while and it’s worth checking, the bokeh seems to be very nice when shooting wide open. Please forgive me if somebody has already posted that info!

Another announcement is the new powershot G10 more info at Canons’s website

At the price they’re looking for, it’d want to be something spectacular. Price is about 50% greater than the equivalent Canon, and almost double the Nikon 50mm f1.4. It’s also a good deal bigger (it’s about the same size as the Canon 50mm f1.2). I really can’t see much of a market for that lens personally.

The canon 1.4 is rubbish until at least f2. Word is that the sigma is good 1.4
