It might help if you answered the questions that were put to you? :wink:Rog
barrynParticipantit is a film camera as i asked for an slr not a dslr so if your wanting to pick out points maybe you should read the topic headline

As most, if not all, SLR cameras now made are digital, lots of people refer to digital SLR’s as just plain SLR, not necessarily DSLR, and if they are referring to a film camera in these digital times, they normally say Film SLR.
SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex, in case you don’t know.
It might be better not to be quite so cocky until you know what you’re talking about.
Single Lens Reflex does not infer either Digital or Film…as shown below.

I would have thought it was only manners to at least reply to the above people who took the time to respond to your post!
Rog
barrynParticipanthold on i did respond in pm to the person who was selling the camera and i also posted up that i was still looking i know what slr is thats what google if for  so im ment to post up what cameras are ment to be called not what the really are if a person responding to the add doesnt know the difference i dont think the would be able to help me
photoemtParticipantWhile I have no wish to turn this into a slagging match, I feel that I must agree with Rog in that it would be only manners to reply to a question when asked. It is also arrogant to assume that I do not know the difference between a digital and a film SLR. I have over 10 years experience in photography and am also a distinction holder.
I was asking the question so that I might be able to see if anything I have would be off help.
I was also of the opinion that a rule was made here some time back that all deals would be on the thread and not by PM.
Maybe some humility might go a long way, Enough said.MarkKeymasterIndeed, the sale should be made in the forum, likewise its more helpful if answers are provided in the post also.
Reading through the whole post, I think in general people are just trying to be helpful.
Lets all take it in that spirit if possible. Thanks all
