Hi folks
Well I have the canon powershot 570. It’s grand for a compact. Getting better results than I thought really. So now I see you can buy the Canon TC-DC52A Tele Convertion Lens (200mm in 35mm Format) for it. I just wonder if this is wise. That’s about 100 euro plus i think i need an adapter too, right? I found on amazon but only 2 reviews. Not very helpful either. It seemingly doubles the zoom. It’s currently 4x. Im interested in photographing birds 9not distant waders just garden visitors really) . I simply can’t afford an SLR. However if it was a real waste of money getting this lens I’d sit tight for another while. Any advice?
Cheers
Jam
Thanks Pitmatic
I checked out that link. It desnt look like the one on amazon for some reason (?). Not familiar with ebay protocol. But sure Id get the hang of that. I wonder if its worth it in the first place…
The proper canon bits are more expensive but there are third party gadgets that are as good but in the end its a compromise and you dont know how “close” you will get till you have tried it.
The other option is if the camera has an intervalometer leave it in the garden just clicking away till the card fills and see if you get lucky but whatch out for bird poo!
I checked and the camera does have something along those lines. When the rain stops here I will give it a go. Time to rig up the old bird table again in any case.
