Carbon fiber or aluminium?

So “santie” will bring me a tripod for Christmas. I have been wading through the multiple choices online and ones people have recommended in previous threads. I want a sturdy one but on the lighter side, so are carbon fiber legs the best choice to go for? would they be as sturdy as the aluminum legs. Few i have my eye on:

all i need from head is the ability to be able to lock vertical axis and pan freely when needed!
