I took a couple of rambles around Carnsore area on Sunday and Monday.
As usual I had the camera and came away with a few images.

Good pic John especially the first. Like the positioning of the bales and the toning.

    Hi John,
That first one is very eye catching,
It has a kind of Infra Red look about it.
    Love the composition,great lines,
It must have taken ages to get the bales where you wanted them  :D

Hi jodal 1975, Gerry, Sirvad, Des Paul and Mark,

Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
    Your comments are most encouraging.

& Paul it’s interesting that you should note the IR hints.
I used a little of the IR style in PE8 during my conversion.

As for all the work aligning the bales ……. :D
    Lot’s of walking.

    Much appreciated.

Two good shots, but for me, your name on the bottom RH corner in the 1st shot is very distracting, and takes away from a good photo……

    Hi Fiona,

Many thanks for your much appreciated comments.

You are indeed correct re the name.
I don’t normally include copyright stuff on I images I post here.
I just uploaded the wrong version.

    Cheers,

    John.

Two good shots John, like them both though I do think that the first has the edge,
there is something about bales of straw, sad that the summer is over. I like the tones
used in the processing also, very nice.

I went back to these looking for your name and couldnt find it, then realised that it was
on the frame…. So it obviously didnt bother me!

    Hi Jenny,

I, as always, appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Yes bales often look attractive when seen from the road.
I think this is especially so when there is a good sky and a nice slope on the field.
I am often dissapointed with my efforts at producing a good photograph.
I have often found difficulty getting a good composition that does justice to how
    things looked with the eye.
I did a lot of walking before I settled on the composition above.

With regard to the name, I often use the copyright symbol and my name embedded in an
image when I post to another site as people seem to think it’s ok to use images without
    even the courtesy of asking.
I have not, that I know of, had that issue here so normally don’t use a watermark.

    Thanks again.

    John.
