Lovely skin tones Ross, and perfect depth of field to bring out all
that lovely detail in the hair…There are a couple of things (aren’t there always?) that I’m not sure of
though, but that may be just me…Her left eye does look a little peculiar in relation to her right, lighting
wise, almost as though you’ve brightened the right eye just a shade
too much above what it should be; in this mono version you’d almost
think her eyes were two different colours…And the crop: There doesn’t seem to be much point to the bottom end
of the picture; aside from the creases in the vest below her breast, there
is a more natural diagonal that runs from the top right corner along the
edge of the face to where her right arm exits the frame. As it is, the picture
does seem a little long…Of course these are just my personal opinions on cropping. Others may
love it as it is…Thanks Rob. Yes, I see what you mean about the eye – rather than brightening her right eye, I believe I may have darkened the left eye when I was boosting contrast. Well spotted!
